Moses’ song

I was reading in Exodus and portions of Moses’ song intrigued me. So here they are for reflection.

“The LORD is a man of war; The LORD is His name.
Pharaoh’s chariots He has cast into the sea; his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.
The depths have covered them; they sank to the bottom like a stone.
Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD has dashed the enemy in pieces.” – Exodus 15:3-6

Now look at what Paul says in Romans 9:17:

“For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, ‘For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”

God is zealous for His own name.

Praying for the President

“The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” Proverbs 21:1¬†

The president’s heart is in the hand of the Lord and He turns it wherever He wishes in order to accomplish His purposes. Do you like the President? Did you vote for him (or her… you never know:)? Do you pray for the President?

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” I Timothy 2:1-2
