I will be writing rather infrequently… yeah, I know… what’s new. So just a heads up. I may still write once every couple months on here so if you are interested I would recommend subscribing to the RSS feed. Thanks. Nice knowing you!
Cutting Through The BS
I like that God’s Word cuts through all the BS… all the opinions… all the thoughts about life… all the earthly wisdom… all of those who darken counsel with words without knowledge. The Bible cuts through it. It’s very sharp.
Tract For The Prosperity Gospel
I liked this tract for the prosperity gospel and thought I would share it. I saw it on the Desiring God Blog the other day:

It is very true that when we follow and obey God that we will prosper… just not in the way that the modern day “prosperity gospel” says we will.¬†
Psalm 1:1-3:
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
the meek shall inherit the earth
Meekness is not cowardice or lack of courage. It is not timidness. Meekness is power under control… strength under control. Meekness does not defend the interests of oneself but it will always defend the interests of God.
“(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)” Numbers 12:3… Look at the context of that passage. It is amazing how Moses didn’t need to defend himself… He knew God would do that. But Moses was not weak and he always defended God with great zeal.
Strength under control.
“He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city.” Proverbs 16:32
Supplications, Prayers, Intercessions, Giving of Thanks
Some verses for my meditation:
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings, and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;”
I Timothy 2:1-4, 8
